Landscape Nova Scotia Awards of Excellence Program recognizes excellence in landscaping by sponsoring an annual Awards Presentation and Gala. Landscape Nova Scotia Members are encouraged to participate and submit project entries into this competition. These winning projects encourage interest in landscaping and recognize craftsmen who produce outstanding landscapes. The program creates pride in superior workmanship and bestows public recognition on companies, institutions, municipalities and residents for their interest in beautifying Nova Scotia.

The LNSHTA Awards of Excellence began in August 1998 and continues to grow in popularity and respect. A jury of distinguished professionals in the fields of landscape design, education and horticulture evaluate the entries. The judges determine the quality of materials (both plant and construction), design, completeness of installation, workmanship and horticultural correctness in landscape installation and maintenance using only the images, plans and descriptions submitted with each entry.
